CONFIRMATION OF COMMUNITY GRANT ELIGIBILITY

To proceed, please confirm you meet the Eligibility Criteria below.  If you do not meet one of the criteria, please speak with the grants officer.

  • You do not have an outstanding financial debt with the Town
  • You have adequately acquitted all previous grants with the Town
  • You are not an employee of the Town, an Elected Member, a 'relative' of an employee or Elected Member or a 'closely associated person' (as defined by the Local Government Act)
  • You have (or are able) to purchase public liability insurance to the value of $10 million should the initiative require it.

        Acknowledge and comply with Policy 261 - Sustainable Events * Required

        CHILD SAFETY

        Does your event or activity involve children (under 18)? * Required
        Do all staff and volunteers have valid Working with Children Checks?

        SUPPORTING MATERIAL

        Please provide the following documents:

        Mandatory

        • A project plan
        • Risk Management Strategy 
        • The organisation's latest Annual Report
        • Quotes for goods and/or services (all items over $500 must include a quote.  Items $5,000 and over require three quotes
        • The most recent audited financial statement 

        Desirable Material:

        • Evidence of permission or support for your activity (if required)
        • Details about previous grants received from the Town of Victoria Park (if required)
        • Additional budget items and information (if required)
        • Additional in kind support (if required)
        • Any other information that you think will assist the Town in assessing your application

            CONFLICT OF INTEREST

            Are there any circumstances, arrangements or understandings which constitutes, or may reasonably by, perceived to constitute, an actual or potential conflict of interest with either the applicant's obligations to adhere to the Funding Agreement or which may unduly impact the application?  If an Elected Member works for or resides on an applicant's Board of Management, or similar governing body, this must be declared as a conflict of interest, as Community Grants will be considered by Council.
